Yellow Submarine

Yellow Submarine In Pepperland was an orchestral piece written by George Martin and based on Paul McCartney's song Yellow Submarine.

It was recorded, along with Martin's other six instrumental pieces, at Abbey Road on 22 and 23 October 1968. The 41-piece George Martin Orchestra was conducted by Martin himself, with John Burgess and Ron Richards co-producing.

The piece was the final track on the 1969 Yellow Submarine soundtrack. With an arrangement containing Martin's characteristic flourishes and dynamic variations, the tune took McCartney's melodies and cast them into a mould fit for The Beatles' arrival in Pepperland.
