I got mine 9 years after it’s original release. The other Beatles contribute mightily and Ringo just has to be himself, with a great production by Richard Perry.John Lennon’s I’m The Greatest is funny and brilliant. Paul McCartney’s Six O’Clock is beautiful and he add’s a great saxophone to You’re Sixteen an infectious no 1 hit. Photograph is a brilliant collaboration between Ringo and George Harrison that also went to no 1. I remember this being on the radio, it remains one of my favorite songs of all time. Wonderful Harrison melody and production. Oh My My is so catchy. I have got to mention some other favorites of Ringo’s from earlier in his career. It Don’t Come Easy is one of the great singles from the early 70’s. It is fantastic. Back Off Boogaloo I also love. George Harrison played on and produced both of these. Another of my favorites is the song Goodnight Vienna that John Lennon wrote and played on, wonderful. Of course Goodnight Vienna came out later than the self-titled Ringo album.
