Happy Christmas, John” and always thought it was strange that they wished it to themselves. I just had a listen with headphones so I could confirm it.

Now a Christmas classic and another Lennon anthem alongside Give Peace A Chance, Power To The People, Imagine and All You Need Is Love.

I hate it. So, so, much. I could swing a bag full of cats against a tree and that would sound better.

The songs name is Happy Christmas (War is Over)…NOT Happy Xmas (War Is Over). Also the lyrics reflect the same…..Christmas.

The only disc to print the correct lyric is the Shaved Fish CD. All other discs (including the Shaved Fish vinyl) printed “the world is so wrong”. Well, as we see, wrong is the transcription.

John Lennon wasn’t the type to call anyone “wrong” to their face, let alone say it to the whole world. He was a firm believer in letting people make judgements and decisions for themselves. He was never patronizing or dictatorial outside his own home, and I highly doubt he was any different within his own household. Anyway, I’ll stick with the line “the road is so long”.

Is it “The world is so wrong” or “The road is so long”? Maybe someone can finally settle this.
